Introduction
Kingdom Prokaryotae consists of organisms with
prokaryotic cells. In Greek, the word “Pro” means “before” and Karyon means
“nucleus”.
Microbiologists place bacteria in two major
categories. These are
1. Eubacteria (Greek word means True bacteria)
2. Archaeobacteria (Greek word means Ancient
bacteria)
